What drives the price of radiator replacement
Radiator pricing turns on the part tier (plastic-tank aluminum units vary a lot in quality) and how tight the front of your engine bay is. Coolant should be included; it isn't always.
Because the system is drained anyway, the thermostat and aging hoses are cheap to do at the same time. Paying separate labor for them a month later is the expensive way around.
Worth asking the shop
Is coolant included? Should the thermostat and hoses be done while it's drained? Was the system pressure-tested to confirm the radiator (vs. a hose or water pump)?
