What drives the price of tire replacement
Tire pricing is mostly the tire: economy, mid-tier, and premium brands can differ by half per tire, and the size does the rest. Low-profile, large-diameter, and truck sizes cost more, as do EV-rated tires. The quoted price is rarely the final price: mounting, balancing, disposal, TPMS service kits, and shop fees commonly add meaningful cost per tire.
Road-hazard warranties are the main optional extra; whether they're worth it depends on your roads and the tire price. Buying two instead of four is fine if the others have real tread left, but new tires go on the rear.
Worth asking the shop
What's the out-the-door price with all fees? Does that include TPMS service? What's the mileage warranty on this model?
